The challenge – fragmented city, no space for middle ground, top down planning on projects that involve multiple and diverse stakeholders, no broker, no voice or champion for those with less power in the city Like a policy lab – experts are researchers and people with experience but also the people that an issue directly affects – i.e. citizens
Questions relating to the issue: How do you get policy makers and people with a degree of power to look firstly at engaging those they are plannig on behalf of/for before creating and designing the system/plan?
How do you firstly empower people to voice their opinions and concerns – in a constructive manner. And what is the best platform for gathering their thoughts and ideas.
In summary how do both side meet?
